Running a Credit Report

Complete the following steps to running a credit report within the Interfaces node using Equifax®.

  1. Select the Interfaces node from the Loans menu.
    The Interfaces main screen appears.

  2. Select the Add New tab.
    The Interfaces screen appears.

  3. Select the correct credit report company from the Choose Interface drop-down menu.
    The Signer One (default) tab screen for the selected credit report company appears.

    Note For the following example, Equifax was selected as the interface. The fields and tabs can vary depending on the interface selected.

  4. Follow the steps in the following table to complete the appropriate information for transmission to the credit bureau.
    Situation Steps
    Performing a Bank Customer Inquiry
    1. Select the Spyglass icon to display the Customer Selection screen.
    2. Enter search criteria and select Search.
    3. When the customer search is complete, select the Spyglass icon to populate the fields with the current customer information.
    Performing a Non-Bank Customer Inquiry
    1. Manually enter the customer's information in the required fields.
    Running a Report on Second Borrower
    1. Complete the required fields for the first signer.
    2. Enter the information for the second borrower on the Signer Two tab.
    Duplicating Information from Signer One to Signer Two
    1. Complete the required information on the Signer One tab.
    2. Select the Duplicate button.
  5. Select Transmit.
    The information is sent to the credit bureau and a report appears.
  6. Print the report when required.
  7. Select one of the three options.
    Re-transmit
    Provides for retransmission after adding or editing information.
    Create Account
    Advances to Parties to the Loan under the Loans In Process node with Signer One as the primary relationship. A CIF record can be created when Signer One is a non-bank customer.
    Notice of Action
    Advances to the Notice of Action node. The applicant information appears in all respective fields.
