Selecting Valid Values

Complete the following steps to define valid values that are the only accepted responses to a field during information entry.

1. Select Setup > System Setup > Fields.
   The Fields node defaults to the Export tab.
   

   

   
   
2. Select Valid Values.
   Note The Valid Values option is not available on the Partially Restricted tab. On the other tabs, a red Valid Values option indicates that there are no records that appear on the main field.
   The OnBoard - Setup (Valid Values) screen appears.
   

   

   
   
3. Enter a selection for the value or accept the default and select Save.
   Note Values default as selected within the left column of the Valid Values screen. Values can be selected or cleared.
4. Close the screen to return to the Fields screen.
